Comparison of numbers up to 20

The concept of numbers is forming in early childhood. Interactive exercises on comparison of numbers up to 20 are offered to develop the comparison habit in primary school age children.

Mathematical «Blackboard»

The «Blackboard» application includes exercises to use “greater “, “less” or “equal” signs. It is intended to teach children to solve equalities and inequalities.

All exercises are grouped by 6 levels of complexity.

  • The first (simplest) level assumes the comparison of 2 numbers up to 20.
  • The second level – the result of a math expression with 2 numbers has to be found (with no carrying to next column) and compared with a given number.
  • At the third level, 2 math expressions with 2 numbers have to be solved (with no carrying to next column), then the results have to be compared.
  • The forth level assumes the solving of 2 math expressions with 2 numbers (with carrying to next column) and the comparison of 2 results.
  • At the fifth level, two math expressions with three and two numbers respectively have to be solved and then the results have to be compared.
  • The sixth level is of highest complexity. Two expressions with three numbers have to be solved and the results have to be compared.

Mathematical “Blackboard” is a good foundation for intellectual development of primary school children- the pupils learn to solve, memorize and compare the calculation.

Multiple trainings on the application develop the verbal counting and comparison skills.
